Ashanti has been hauled into Manhattan federal court by music producers in Georgia who claim they represented her before she skyrocketed to stardom — and now they want $4 million of her wealth.
The outfit, T.E.A.M. Entertainment, claims Ashanti Douglas and her mom-manager, Tina Douglas, stiffed them out of royalties on sales from millions of copies of chart-topping songs by breaching contracts dating back to 1997.Ashanti, a native of Glen Cove, L.I., was only 16 at the time.
