Cool Irma!

Awesome cookbook you have there Irma...

I love cooking too...and baking....can you tell?  LOL  Anyway...I sometimes stop by the Salvation Army or Thrift Store and grab me an old cookbook.  I bought a few at King Richard's Antique Mall in Whittier...love that place.   Can shop there for hours....One that I cherish is the Culinary Art School Cookbook from 1972...not an antique but I love it.  Has recipes in there that are old favorites hard to find even online in Epicurious or the TV Cooking shows info online.

Another one I love is the New Orleans/Louisiana cookbook I bought from King Richard's a few years ago...circa 1930's...this one has many Creole dishes...I love homeade Gumbo....out of this world.  YUM...just delightful recipes and cool to find out what the ladies were cooking and baking in the old days  :) Of course I have the old version of "Joy of Cooking"  I love sharing recipes too....if you have a Green Chili Cheese Recipe, you'd like to share...POST IT!  Would love it!

Hope all is well with you and your Christmas spirit is on...thanks for the kind words about my daughter and Roseann's daughter too
