I know we all love our classic vinyl, but in the last several years CD's and MP3's have become the industry standard with DVD creeping it's way in. If you were at the NAMM show you know what I'm talking about. I started transferring my 12" classics to CD's almost 10 years ago. Using all the tricks DBX, EQ's and plenty of Gruv Glide. In doing this I discovered, man I sure didn't take good care of alot of my music. So little by little I've searched for re-releases and CD singles, compilations, lp's, etc. As a DJ I always knew where to get my vinyl. CD's were alot different especially with the Internet. I wanted to list some of my top spots to get my digital versions of Classic Disco and maybe you can list your favorites.
thanks for the info.. now i really want to go and be a dj..... man how do you guys do it... ?dont get me wrong... i know my disco... but i recently started to spin (or at least try to spin)
... and when the time comes to mix in another song.. lets just say the party better be 'DRUNK', all of them.. cause this chacha aint got the boogie in her shoes.. not when it comes to that.. i'll stick to being ...dangerous on the dancefloor.. I'm still playing. Just not at the Hop anymore. Lots of private parties and the mobile gigs. I will be posting some of my classic disco mixes very soon on my web site www.djdjam.com check it out when you have a chance. I'm still digging this site and telling all my friends about it. Take care...DJAM
