ANAHEIM – A 34-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl died this morning in an accident on the Riverside (91) Freeway when a pickup truck hit a car with a flat tire that had pulled to the side of the road, the California Highway Patrol reported. The accident on the eastbound 91 Freeway happened at about 1 a.m. when a 34-year old Placentia woman pulled her 1988 Cadillac to the side of the road just west of the Eastern (241) Toll Road, CHP officer Denise Quesada said. A Ford F250 pickup truck, eastbound at between 65 and 70 miles per hour, veered off the road for unknown reasons and hit the woman as she was getting out of the car. The pickup then struck a big-rig truck that was in the traffic lanes of the freeway. The woman was killed. Her car burst into flames, killing the 13-year-old girl in the rear seat and injuring a 21-year old woman in the front passenger seat of the Cadillac. All three people were from Placentia.....This woman happens to be a friend from work. I had the pleasure of meeting her 13 y/o daughter which had a handicap. She was my "Homes" as I would call her upto 10pm that night of her fatal accident. What I'm doing here people is just reminding everyone that we do not know how much time we have in this world so let's appreciate one another and love thy neighbor. Thank you for your time and smile...it's contagious! Valerie...you will be missed "Homes"
